I'd been up to The Golden Lion in Todmorden a few times. Andrew (Weatherall) always loved playing up there with Sean (ALFOS) so it was a natural choice when it came to the AW60 events in celebration for what would have been his 60th at venues he loved to play at with people he loved playing them and attending. The Golden Lion and The Gun have a shared ethos... kindred spirits.. similar taste in programming, all fell into place pretty quickly! Not sure who came up with that name... think it was on the table for a while, anyway absolutely on-point and had to be that!
